UGANDAN GORILLA SAFARIS

BWINDI NATIONAL PARK 3 or 4 days

Day 1
Drive from Kampala or Entebbe and onto Bwindi National Park with lunch at Mbarara. Overnight at Buhoma Gorilla Camp. (L.D)
Day 2
Gorilla tracking in the forest. Return to Buhoma Gorilla Camp for overnight (B.L.D)
Day 3
(optional) Second day of gorilla tracking. Overnight Buhoma Gorilla Camp. (B.L.D)
Day 4
Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch en route, arriving before dinner. (B.L)

LAKE MBURO, BWINDI NATIONAL PARK 5 or 6 days

Day 1
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park Game drive in the park with a picnic lunch. Drive to Mbarara for dinner and overnight at lake View Hotel (L.D)
Day 2
After breakfast depart for Bwindi National Park. This afternoon you may wish to relax in the camp or to walk into the forest and visit the waterfalls. B.L.D)
Day 3
Up early to begin gorilla tracking. Arrive back in camp in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Gorilla Camp. (B.L.D)
Day 4
(optional) Second opportunity to track the gorillas. Picnic lunch. Afterwards return to Buhoma Gorilla Camp for dinner and overnight. (B.L.D)
Day 5
Breakfast. Drive to Kabale arriving in time for lunch at the White Horse Inn. Continue to Mbarara Dinner and overnight at Lake View Hotel. (B.L.D)
Day 6
Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. B.L)

KAHUZI-BIEGA NATIONAL PARK BURUNDI* 4 days
(*note safari takes place in Burundi)
Day1
Arrive in Bujumbura, the capital of Burundi, on Kenya Airways. Drive to Orchids Safari Club on the shores of Lake Kivu in Bukavu, Zaire. Overnight at Orchids Safari Club. (D)
Day 2
Drive to Kahuzi-Biega National Park, 36 kms from Bukavu, for the first day of gorilla tracking. Picnic lunch and guided tour of a nearby tea plantaion and factory. Return to Orchids for overnight (B.L.D)
Day 3
Second day of gorilla tracking, Return to Orchids for a short cruise on Lake Kivu in an old colonial Belgian customs launch in the afternoon Overnight at Orchids. (B.L.D)
Day 4
After breakfast drive to Bujumbura to catch the Kenya Airways flight to Nairobi. (B.L)
