NGORONGORO CRATER SAFARIS

NGORONGORO CRATER 3 days
Day 1 Nairobi - Ngorongoro Crater
0700 to 0730 hrs: Pick from your Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs depart for Namanga border town arriving at 1000 hrs. After immigration formalities, continue to Arusha for lunch. Proceed to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or campsite which are located on the crater rim.
Day 2: Ngorongoro
0800hrs: After breakfast, taking a picnic lunch with you, descend 2.000 ft. (670 m) into the crater floor, for full day game viewing. Break for lunch at Ngoiktok springs picnic site. Ngorongoro is the only place one would expect for sure to see the endangered Rhino. Needless to mention the animal varieties and abundance, the crater also offers colourful birds of all distribution. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife lodge or campsite.
Day 3: Ngorongoro - Nairobi
After breakfast at Ngorongoro. proceed to Arusha arriving in time for lunch. Proceed to Nairobi via Namanga border arriving in the evening.

NGORONGORO/ L. MANYARA 3 days
Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Manyara
0700 to 0730 hrs: Pick from your Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs depart for Namanga border town, arriving at lOOOhrs. After immigration formalities, drive to Arusha for lunch. Proceed to Lake Manyara National Park on the base of Great Rift Valley. This small park contains five distinct vegetation zones, thus supporting a large variety of birds and animals. The park is also famous for its tree climbing lions, and its large flock of flamingoes. Dinner and overnight Lake Manyara Hotel or campsite.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, leave Manyara for Ngorongoro crater. Taking a picnic lunch with you, decend 2,000ft (670 m) into the crater floor for game viewing. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. It will be an unforgettable. Elephants. Buffaloes and Leopards can be seen. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or Simba Campsite.
Day 3: Ngorongoro - Nairobi
After breakfast, drive to Arusha for lunch and afterwards to Nairobi via Namanga border town, arriving in the evening.

L. MANYARA/NGORONGORO 4 days
Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Manyara
0700 to 0730 hrs: pick from your Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs Depart for Namanga border town arriving at lOOOhrs. After immigration formalities, drive to Arusha for lunch, then to Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon drive. Look out for tree climbing lions which Manyara is famous for. Thousands of flamingoes can be seen on the lake shore. Large herds of Elephants are also seen. Dinner and overnight at Lake and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel/campsite.
Day 2: Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro crater, arriving at lunch time. Drive to Empakai crater through Ngorongoro, Embulbul depression and Ngamat wild areas. Lunch at Empakai crater rim. After lunch, with the help of armed guides, walk into the crater floor through the forested wall. Climbing the walls back to the landrovers in an excellent afternoon excise. Drive to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Day
After breakfast, taking a picnic lunch with you, descend 2.000ft (670 m) into the crater floor. Spend the whole day tracking animals, with a short break for lunch at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. All the big five may be seen. Other species encontered are Cheetah, Elephant, Grant's and Thomson Gazelles, common or Burchells Zebra, Wildebeest and a super abundance of spotted Hyena. Both lesser and greater flamingoes are seen at the crater lake. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or campsite.
Day 4: Ngorongoro - Nairobi
After breakfast leave Ngorongoro for Arusha. We will stop at Mto wa Mbu village for shopping of souvenirs in Arusha in time for lunch. Drive to Nairobi via Namanga border town arriving in the evening.

L.MANYARA-NGORONGORO/TARANGIRE 4 days
Day I: Nairobi/Lake Manyara
0700 to 0730 hrs: Pick from your Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs depart for Namanga border town arriving at 1000 hrs. After immigration formalities. drive to Arusha for lunch. Drive to Lake Manyara National Park famed for it's abudant bird life, tree climbing lions and large herds of Elephants for afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel or campsite.
Day 2: Lake
Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater With picnic lunches, leave Manyara after breakfast for Ngorongoro crater for full day game viewing, with a lunch break at Ngoitoktok springs. Ngorongoro crater is one of the wonders of the world, so nicknamed by many visitors on their first visit. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, 5,184sq. Kilometres has three other small craters - Oldean, Olmoti and Empakaai to the north, and contains animal population of varied species. It was once a volcanic mountain which with tremendous force. blew and folded to form a caldera. Return late afternoon to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro - Tarangire
After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro for Tarangire. arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in Tarangire National Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Tanzania with regard to animal concentration and Abu dance, Big herds move down from Ngorongoro, Manyara and surrounding game reserves to fetch water and food as Tarangire is always full of vegetation. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge or campsite.
Day 4: Tarangire - Nairobi
After breakfast, drive to Arusha via Makuyuni. After lunch in Arusha drive to Nairobi via Namanga border town, arriving in the evening.
Please note that visits to Empakai are available at a supplementary cost depending on the number of participants

L.MANYARA/NGORONGORO/SERENGETI 5 days
Day 1 Nairobi - Lake Manyara
0700 to 0730 hrs' Pick from your Nairobi Hotel and depart at 0800 hrs for Namanga border town arriving at lOOOhrs. After immigration formalities, drive to Arusha for lunch. Afternoon game viewing at Lake Manyara National Park.famous for its tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingoes The park contains five distinct vegetation zones and is of scenic beauty. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel, sited on top of the Rift Valley with a spectacular view over the lake, or at the campsite.
Day 2: Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, taking a picnic lunch with you, descend 2,000ft (670m) into the crater floor in fourwheel drive landrovers with pop up roofs. Full day crater tour with lunch at Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. The main crater is 165 km and contains a constant animal population of varied species. Black maned lions, Rhinos, Buffaloes, Elephants and other grazing animals have made this crater a permanent home. Return early evening to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro - Serengeti
0730 hrs: Leave Ngorongoro after breakfast for Olduvai Gorge. Lunch at the Gorge Museum. After lunch, visit various sites of the Gorge to see ovhere the remains of pro-historic man were discovered by the famous archeologist Dr. L.S.B. Leakey. Visit an Old Maasai home on the way. Proceed to Serengeti plains around Seronera with afternoon game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge or campsite.
Day 4: Serengeti
Leave Seronera for Ndutu with game viewing around Ndutu woodlands to locate leopards and numerous plains games as well as cheetahs, common species here. Meals and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge or campsite.
Day 5: Serengeti - Nairobi
After breakfast, with brief game viewing on your way out of Serengeti, drive to Arusha via Mto wa Mbu village for shopping of Makonde carvings and other souvenirs. Lunch at an Arusha Restaurant. Drive to Nairobi via Namanga border town, arriving in the evening.

L. MANYARA/NGORONGORO/ L. EYASI 6 days
Day 1: Nairobi/ Arusha
0700 to 0730 hrs: Pick from you Nairobi hotel. 0800 hrs Depart for Arusha via Namanga border town on the morning or afternoon shuttle. (You may also take the afternoon shuttle departing at (400 hrs). Overnight in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha/Lake Manyara
0900 hrs: Depart and drive past Makuyuni and on to Lake Manyara National Park. Afternoon game viewing drive where if you are lucky you might see the tree climbing lions " Also a visit to the hot springs and the Hippo pool will be essential. Dinner and overnight at lodge/campsite.
Day 3: Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro
Leave after breakfast and drive to the world famous Ngorongoro crater; here you will have a chance to see all the Big Five and fresh water lake with the hippos and just next to it we have the salt water lake where you find the lesser flamingoes and other water birds. Note: you will have to carry a packed lunch with you as you spend whole day in the crater. Return to campsite/lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 4: Ngorongoro/Lake Eyasi
After breakfast drive via Karatu and proceed to Lake Eyasi. where you set up camp and proceed for a trekking trip where you will find the Tindikika Tribe "equivalent to Pygmies of Congo", and explore Lake Eyasi and its surrounding. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.
Day 5: Lake Eyasi
Whole day spent exploring Lake Eyasi and its surroundings. All meals and overnight at the campsite.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi/Arusha
After breakfast drive back to Arusha arriving in time for Lunch" Either proceed to Nairobi or to Dar Es Salaam.
